As a Dover, TN photographer specializing in capturing the precious moments of newborns, I understand the joy and excitement of welcoming a new addition to your family. The first few weeks with your baby are truly magical, and I consider it an honor to help you preserve these moments through newborn photography.
When selecting a photographer for your newborn’s studio session, I encourage you to seek out someone with experience specifically in newborn photography. I am proud to have trained in newborn photography under some of the most exclusive and well respected newborn photographers in the United States. Additionally, as a parent myself and a Registered Nurse, I understand the importance of entrusting your newborn to a skilled and caring professional.
Choosing the Right Photographer
Scheduling the Session
To ensure the best results, it’s ideal to schedule the newborn photography session within the first two weeks of your baby’s arrival. This timeframe allows us to capture those sleepy, curly poses that you’ll cherish for a lifetime. Please contact me as soon as possible to secure your session, as I do only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month. I am sometimes able to work in last minute sessions, so feel free to inquire if your little bundle is arriving soon or has already arrived!
Preparing Your Baby
On the day of the session, I recommend feeding your baby right before leaving your house and bringing them to the studio well-fed and ready for a nap. Please dress your baby in an outfit that does not go over their head, like a sleeper with buttons or a zipper. This will help baby stay calm and peaceful environment for the session.
What to Bring
Please bring a pacifier and some bottled milk. This can help to soothe baby if they get fussy and ensure a smoother session. Feel free to bring along a special item if you’d like to incorporate something into the photos. Whether it’s a cherished blanket, a favorite toy, or a family heirloom, these personal touches will add warmth and meaning to the images.
Dressing Your Baby
While I sometimes feature bare bum poses, I also have a curated collection of unique props, perfectly fitted outfits and beautiful accessories that are perfect for a cohesive newborn session. I provide everything needed for your session! The focus will always be on capturing your baby’s natural beauty and innocence and creating beautiful photos for you to last a lifetime.
Relax and Enjoy
During the session, I want you to feel at ease and enjoy the experience. I utilize an assistant for all newborn sessions to ensure baby’s safety and comfort. Trust that I will handle your baby with the utmost care and patience, allowing you to witness the magic of the session while I capture those tender moments.
